Hello to anyone out there!
After spending 2 months in Korea and Japan I've been back in Melbourne for a month mainly bludging but also finalising my new trip and finishing up my lease. It's been really refreshing actually just to get some break time from reality, I highly recommend it! Sleeping in, waltzing down the street to get the paper and enjoying the sublime offerings of my lifelong friend Foxtel not to mention endless reruns of grand final. I've also been updating my professions I would marry list, so far: travel agent, flight attendant, massage therapist, chef, pro tennis player, heiress, bar owner, pit girl.
The trip itself is coming into fruition. I've booked flights, so off to Buenos Aires on the 31st of October. Looking to float around South America for 5 months and then head to Europe for a further 3. So far only picked out Carnival in Rio and of Machu Pichu but considering a raft of other places. As for the planning, I had 4 injections today all within the space of a minute and cannot move my arms at all. My Spanish has not advanced as I would have liked though I have the loaded the learning tapes onto my mp3. Hopefully after about 5 hours into my flight I will have exhausted all options and be forced to learn, at least learn the useful stuff haha. I already know estoy perdido (I'm lost) and donde cerveza (where beer?), they should be able to get me around for about a week!
My trip does coincide with Jess Watson's trip around the world so I am looking to draw inspiration from that. So I think whenever I get a bit bored or tired I will jump on to her blog http://www.youngestround.blogspot.com/, read it and think I am in a place ten million times better than you are! In any case I'm nervous excited at the mo and if anyone's thinking of joining me, you're more than welcome! I've setup Skype or 'skippy' as I call it at this email if you're bored and wanna buzz me! Also noticed I'm on the Coles website http://www.careers.colesgroup.com.au/graduates/default.aspx check it :p
I'll try and update this a little more regularly so keep checking back!
